Hebrew Numerology

Hebrew Numerology

Numerology іѕ thе study оf numbers. It іѕ believed numbers give аn insight аbоut specific characteristics оr personality traits оf аn individual. Thе modern numerology wаѕ gleaned frоm ancient Hebrew numerology.

A numerology report оf аn individual іѕ based оn hіѕ date оf birth. Thе numbers оf hіѕ date оf birth аrе summed tо get а single-digit number. Similarly, thе alphabets аrе аlѕо given numerical values.

A numerologist саn read раѕt, present аnd future nоt оnlу bу adding thе digits оf аn individual’s date оf birth, but аlѕо bу summing uр thе values assigned tо thе alphabets оf hіѕ name.

Hebrew Numerology Explained

Hebrew numerologists believe thаt аn individual’s true nature аnd personality іѕ enshrined іn hіѕ name. Thе alphabets аrе assigned values frоm 1 tо 9. Given bеlоw аrе thе numbers аnd thе corresponding alphabets оf modern numerology.

A J S = 1

B K T = 2

C L U = 3

D M V = 4

E N W = 5

F O X = 6

G P Y = 7

H Q Z = 8

I R = 9

Tо obtain thе numerical value оf уоur name, sum uр thе corresponding numerical value оf аll thе alphabets оf уоur name. If thе result іѕ а two-digit number, уоu have tо add thе two digits tо get а single-digit number. A numerologist deciphers thе personality traits аnd characteristics оf аn individual using thіѕ single-digit number.

In modern numerology, thеrе іѕ no connection bеtwееn а number аnd аn alphabet. Many contemporary numerologists prefer thе Hebrew system. Thеrе іѕ а connection bеtwееn letters аnd numbers іn ancient Hebrew numerology.

Modern numerologists have converted thе Hebrew alphabets tо English. Thе two problems faced bу thе contemporary numerologists whо practice Hebrew numerology аrе – а few оf thе Hebrew alphabets do nоt have thе English equivalents аnd аll thе alphabets аrе arranged іn а different order. Thе Hebrew system оf numerology follows thе number system оf 1 tо 8 аnd nоt 1 tо 9.

Take а look аt thе Hebrew number system given bеlоw.

A Y Q = 1

B K R = 2

G L S = 3

D M T = 4

H N = 5

V W = 6

Z = 7

P = 8

Modern Hebrew numerologists borrowed Greek alphabets аnd thеіr values tо compensate fоr thе missing letters. Hebrew numerology has excluded thе number 9 bесаuѕе іt іѕ considered аѕ а mystical аnd sacred number. Hоwеvеr, contemporary Jewish practitioners оf numerology argue thаt thе Hebrew alphabets Teth аnd Sade do nоt have thеіr English equivalents. Thаt соuld bе thе reason whу thе number 9 wаѕ left оut.

Gematria – Hebrew Numerology Calculation

Remember, each Hebrew alphabet has аn equivalent numerical value. Thе calculation оf thе numerical equivalents оf letters іn Hebrew іѕ known аѕ gematria. Gematria wаѕ used tо gain аn insight into different concepts, ideas, phrases аnd words аnd аlѕо thе personality traits оn аn individual.

Gematria uses four methods tо calculate equivalence оf individual letters. Thеу аrе:

Absolute Value – In thіѕ method оf calculation, thе first 10 alphabets аrе given values 1 tо 10. After thе tenth alphabet, thе successive letters аrе given values 20, 30, 40 аnd ѕо оn. Thе last Hebrew alphabet equals 400.

Ordinal Value – In thіѕ form оf gematria calculation, twenty-two Hebrew alphabets аrе given values frоm 1 tо 22. Thе last alphabet takes thе value 27.

Reduced Value – Thе numerical values оf thе Hebrew alphabets thаt have double, triple оr quadruple digits аrе reduced tо single digits bу summing uр thе individual digits.

Integral Reduced Value – Thе numerical value оf а word іѕ reduced tо а single-digit. In thіѕ method оf Hebrew calculation, thе integer values оf thе total аrе added tо derive а single-digit.

Hebrews believed thаt thе world wаѕ created bу thе speech оf God. Hеnсе, each Hebrew letter represents а creative force. Modern numerology follows thе integral reduced-value method оf Hebrew numerology tо predict thе personality traits оf аn individual.

The Difference Between Astrology and Numerology

When I started studying numerology, the main question I had was, what is the difference Between Astrology and Numerology? After studying for a while learned some of the differences between astrology and numerology and here are some of the differences I discovered.

The two metaphysical sciences, astrology and numerology are immensely popular today. Man’s failures and his insecurities drive him to seek solace, and both Astrology and Numerology have their sets of firm believers and can be used as tools to teach you about yourself.

The main differences between astrology and numerology

The Difference Between Astrology and Numerology

Astrology is studying planets, movement of planets and their influence on human lives. It is related to Astronomy. Numerology.

Astrological chart of a person is a set of complicated calculation derived from the planetary positions of the sun, stars, and the moon, as they were at the time of a person’s birth. Hence the date of birth of a person along with the time of his birth and the birthplace is immensely important in astrology.

Some people may consider Astrology as a science as it uses facts of Astronomy. Some people will disagree with this and tag Astrology as an art. Some may even think, it as just a scam or bullshit. However Astrology had been used all over the world for thousands of years.

Western Astrology and Vedic Astrology

Western Astrology and Indian Vedic Astrology are different. Western Astrology is based on Sun’s position in relation to the Earth. Vedic Astrology focuses on 12 zodiac signs, 27 stars, and 9 planets. The western chart is round in shape and Vedic chart has a square shape.

Why astrology is so popular?

Astrology is a very popular subject among human being, most people want to know about their future, they want to know their good time and bad times so they can be prepared, artists, politicians, entreprenuers, sportsmen and normal people consult astrologers each and every day, this is why Astrology is getting popular each and every day.

Limitations of Astrology

In order for an astrologist to predict correctly your future, they will need three things, your date birth, your date place and your date time, they ask this information because they want to know how stars and planets were aligned the moment of your birth.

In my opinion, it is very difficult to know the exact time someone was born, this is because the moment when the baby is born all peoples who are around are concerned about the well being of the mother and the baby and when they are sure that they are ok they will start the process of registering the birth time and another important information.

In developed countries, the difference between the real birth time and the recorded time can vary up to 45 minutes and in third-world countries, it is even worse.

This alone can make your astrological prediction not 100% correct and if you add the human error in astrological reading the accuracy can be even lower.

Numerology

On the other hand, numerology is the science of numbers and names. It is believed that each person vibrates with the energy of a certain numerological number.

The Difference Between Astrology and Numerology

The numerological number is calculated on the basis of a person’s date of birth and on the basis of a person’s name. It is believed that each number from 0 to 9 vibrates differently and is responsible for a person’s success or failure.

Numbers do play a big role in our lives. Numbers are everywhere and you can’t live without numbers. When you get up at 6 o clock, the number 6 comes in and then till you retire to bed, you come across numbers several times in your daily life.

As per Numerology numbers can influence your life. Your date of birth can tell something about your characters and your future. Numerology can help you to find your lucky numbers, lucky colors, lucky gemstones, and lucky names.

Application of numerology

You can use Numerology to choose the right name for your baby. Sound has positive or negative effects. If you have a good name, when many people call you, you get positive vibrations and that will do good in your life.

Similarly, a bad name can have a negative impact on your life. You can use Numerology for your name correction. You can change your name and get good results. Gemstones are energy sources of planets.

By knowing the heart desire number and personality number of a person, you can prepare yourself for a meeting, a date or a job interview.

Limitation of numerology

For me, the main limitation of numerology is that it does not take into account the place of birth (which Astrology take into account), for me, this is very important, I think John Alan Smith who was born in South Africa is very different from John Alan Smith who was born the same day and same time in England.

But in defense of numerology, I must say that even if those two individuals were born in the same place and the same time means having the same life path number, personality numbers, and heart desire number, one can be vibrating in the positive vibes of those number and other can be vibrating in the negative vibes of those numbers and they can have a very different life.

My experience with Astrology and Numerology.

I have many readings from different astrologists and numerologists, and there is a very small difference between astrology reading and my numerology reading, so for me, the difference between Astrology and Numerology is very narrow.

Final words

As I said for me there is a very small difference between Astrology and Numerology, in my experience, this is how you can use both of them.

Astrology can be used to know about your future. You can also use Astrology to know about the remedies to be used to minimize the bad effects during your bad period of life. However, you should not make important decisions based only on Astrology. You can just refer Astrology as a guide and make decisions taking into account the other important factors.

You can use Numerology to choose a lucky name for you, to choose lucky gemstones, lucky numbers and lucky colors. I hope you have found this article useful and now you know the difference between Astrology and Numerology.

Your Name and Numerology

The act of choosing a name for a baby may seem random and an easy one, but our names carry significant meaning in our daily life. In this post, I am going to tell you about the relationship between your name and numerology.

Even if your parents did something as seemingly normal as picking your name from a book of 10,000 baby names, it is still divinely inspired.

Remember that there are no accidents in the world of numerology, and you were given the name that you were meant to have. That name carries the perfect vibrations to help you achieve your soul’s purpose.

You may be wondering at this point what letters have to do with numbers. The practice of translating letters and words into numbers hearkens back to ancient Greek, Latin and Hebrew cultures.

Modern numerology uses a simple process for translation, with the letter A equaling the number one, B equaling the
number two and so forth. Once you hit the number nine, you start over again with number one.

Your Name and Numerology

Calculating the number of your full birth name reveals the characteristics of your overall personality. You can also receive other clues about your inner self by looking at the first and last letters of your first name and the consonants and vowels in your name.

What happens to your personality if you acquire a nickname, adopt a stage name or change your name when you get married? In these circumstances, the name change often happens as part of an organic life shift that signifies personal development and a positive progression on your soul’s path.

Just as your parents choosing your name was orchestrated on a higher spiritual level, so are these changes. If, however, you legally change your name simply because you want it to add up to a number that signifies fun or financial abundance, it is likely to backfire on you because it did not happen naturally as part of your spiritual growth.

The Master Numbers

THE MASTER NUMBERS

When are you calculating your life path number, in some cases, you may end up with 3 double digit number called the master numbers, these numbers require special emphasis and attention? These numbers are 11, 22 and 33.

Why they are called the master numbers?

They are called Master numbers because they possess more potential than other numbers. They are highly charged, difficult to handle, and require time, maturity, and great effort to integrate into one’s personality.

The master number 11

The master number 11 is the most intuitive of all numbers. It represents illumination; a channel to the subconscious; insight without rational thought; and sensitivity, nervous energy, shyness, and impracticality. It is a dreamer.

The master number 11 has all the aspects of the 2, enhanced and charged with charisma, leadership, and inspiration. It is a number with inborn duality, which creates dynamism, inner conflict, and other catalyzes with its mere presence.

It is a number that, when not focused on some goal beyond itself, can be turned inward to create fears and phobias. The 11 walks the edge between greatness and self-destruction.

Its potential for growth, stability, and personal power lies in its acceptance of intuitive understanding, and of spiritual truths. For the 11, such peace is not found so much in logic, but in faith. It is the psychic’s number.

The master number 22

The master number 22 is the most powerful of all numbers. It is often called the Master Builder. The 22 can turn the most ambitious of dreams into reality.

It is potentially the most successful of all numbers. It has many of the inspirational insights of the 11, combined with the practicality and methodical nature of the 4. It is unlimited, yet disciplined.

It sees the archetype and brings it down to earth in some material form. It has big ideas, great plans, idealism, leadership, and enormous self-confidence.

If not practical, the 22s waste their potential. Like the 11, the 22 can easily shrink from its own ambition, causing difficult interior pressures.

Both the 11 and the 22 experience the pressure-cooker effect very strongly, particularly at an early age. It must work toward the realization of goals that are larger than personal ambition. The 22 serves the world in a practical way.

The master number 33

The master number 33 is the most influential of all numbers. It is the Master Teacher. The 33 combines the 11 and the 22 and brings their potential to another level. When expressed to the fullest, the 33 lacks all personal ambition, and instead focuses its considerable abilities toward the spiritual uplifting of mankind.

What makes the 33 especially impressive, is the high level of sincere devotion. This is shown in its determination to seek understanding and wisdom before preaching to others. The 33 in full force is extremely rare.

The number 33 only matters when finding among the core numbers: The Life Path, Heart’s Desire, Expression, Personality, Maturity number, or as an Essence cycle or Pinnacle cycle. In all other cases, the 33 should be reduced to a 6.

The fact that the 33 is extra-ordinary demanding and rare can be seen symbolically in the methods of calculation. For example, a 33 Life Path can happen only when each of the 3 units of the birth date (month/year/day) add to 11. Or when the year adds to 22 (in the 20th century there are only 7 years that add to 22: 1939, 48, 57, 66, 75, 84, and 93) and the month and day of the birth combined total is 11. And finally, when the Birth Day is 22 and the month and year of birth total 11.

Another way to look at the Master numbers:

The Master numbers 11, 22, and 33 represent a triangle. A triangle of Enlightenment.

The master number 11 represents the vision

The master number 22 combines vision with action

The master number 33 offers guidance to the world

How do you calculate your life path number

Numerology is the ancient belief system that numbers have hidden meanings which influence everyday life. There most important number in numerology is the life path number.

How do you calculate your life path number

In Numerology, your Life Path Number is considered the most important indicator of your life, and it is surprisingly the easiest number in your Numerology Chart to calculate.

The Life Path Number will tell you what traits or skills you possess, and what major life challenges you may see along the way.

How to Calculate Your Life Path Number

There are two ways you can calculate your life path number, you can do it yourself or you can use an online calculator.

Using the calculator.

If you are just looking to calculate your Life Path Number and not interested in how to calculate it, use the calculator by clicking the link below.

https://www.tokenrock.com/numerology/life_path/

How to do it yourself.

Your Life Path Number is calculated using only simple math addition, with 2 additional rules:

  1. Group the numbers of your birthday together before adding, and
  2. Do not reduce the Master Numbers of 11 or 22 to single digits until the final calculation.

That is it.

Part 1: Grouping The Numbers Together

The correct way to calculate the Life Path Number is to group the Month, Day, and Year, and add them individually, reduce to a single number for each, then reduce them to a single number.

For someone born May 3, 1982, May is the fifth month which makes it a 5. We then combine the numbers, constantly reducing to a single number ( 5 + 3 = 8 ) added to ( 1 + 9 + 8 + 2 = 20 ) for a total of 28. 2+8=10, 10 is then reduced one more time to ( 1 + 0 = 1 ).  This gives us our final Life Path Number.

Birth Date: 5/3/1982

5 = 5
3 = 3
1982 = 1 + 9 + 8 + 2 = 2 + 0 = 2

5 + 3 + 2 = 10
1 + 0 = 1

Life Path Number: 1

Part 2: Do Not Reduce Master Numbers 11 or 22

Next, let’s look at the second rule. Do not reduce the Numbers 11 or 22 (1 + 1 = 2 or 2 + 2 = 4) if they show up in the groups during the calculation, until the final calculation.

The numbers 11 and 22 are special Master Numbers in Numerology and have additional properties and meanings.

Here’s one more Master Number situation for clarity

Birth Date: November 29, 1975

November = 11 (Do Not Reduce)

29 = (2 + 9) = 11 (Do Not Reduce)

1975 = (1 + 9 + 7 + 5) = 22  (Do Not Reduce)

(11 + 11 + 22) = 44 = (4 + 4) = 8

Correct: Life Path 8

What Do the Numbers Mean?

It is impossible to cover every nuance of each number without the time and space of a personal numerology reading, but these are the general meanings of the numbers:

• One: Inspiration, new beginnings, independence, originality, leadership, and initiative
• Two: Partnership, support, harmony, cooperation, tolerance, and receptivity
• Three: Creativity, growth, optimism, self-improvement, pleasure, and versatility
• Four: Structure, stability, practicality, organization, work and making ideas happen
• Five: Freedom, fun, passion, change, variety, adventure, communication, and magnetism
• Six: Home, the family, caring, nurturing, relationships, harmony, compromise and reliability
• Seven: Intuition, reflection, mysticism, eccentricity, depth, analysis and solitude
• Eight: Money, power, control, domination, business, status, leadership and strength
• Nine: Completion, conclusions, idealism, compassion, spirituality, and forgiveness

In addition to the first nine numbers, there are master numbers such as 11, 22 and 33 that carry powerful meanings and warrant special attention.

A numerology expert will let you know if you have any of these significant numbers in your blueprint and how they impact your life’s path.

How to achieve goals using your life path number

If used correctly, your path number can lead you to great success and achievement, here are some tips that you can use your path number to improve your life.

1: Discover the positive effects of your number.

The positive points are going to reveal your strengths. You may already know them or they could be something you were unaware of. It is important to explore these strengths and to see if you can use them in your life to help you. For example, if you are a number 7 then one of your strengths will be an analytical way of thinking. You can use this to help you be successful in a research-based career.

2: Identify the negative effects of your number.

The negatives of your number are your weaknesses or your challenges. You have to learn to control these and overcome them. For example, if you are a 4 then you know you have issues with being argumentative. You will have to work to control yourself and to hold yourself back from becoming too engaged in arguments.

3: Understand what numbers you number is compatible with.

This is going to help you a lot with relationships and in dealing with other people. You will discover those bad relationships or rocky partnerships are due to incompatible numbers. If you can seek out those with compatible numbers then you will have much better interactions with others and be able to find good, solid relationships.

4: Use your number to help with timing.

Your life path number can help you decide when it is a good time to begin or end something, whether that is a relationship, a job or any other project.

5: Know the challenges that you will face.

When you can be prepared for a challenge it is so much easier to handle it and get through it. Your life path number can help you to realize what things lay ahead in your life.

Final words

That is it, that is how you can calculate your life path number and how you can use the information you get from it to improve your life and make better choices in your everyday activities.

10 Commonly Asked Questions About Numerology

Each day, we are exposed to numbers. We have phone numbers, birthdates, even our financial information is driven by numbers, here are the 10  commonly asked questions about numerology.

10 Commonly Asked Questions About Numerology

1: What is numerology?

Numerology is the ancient study of the meaning of numbers using your birth date and birth name. Based on the ancient works of the Greeks, Romans, Chinese, Egyptians, and Jews, numerology was formally developed during the sixth century BC by the mathematician and philosopher, Pythagoras, who saw the essence of reality in the immaterial meaning of numbers and the relationships between these numbers. Numerology considers each number, its shape, and its position and gives each number specific personality traits.

2: How does it work?

Numerology works by combining the person’s birth date and their birth name (i.e. all the names they were given at birth) to reveal a complete and unique profile of that person.

The numbers used are numbers one through to nine, as every number that comes after is a compound version of these single digits.  By using a series of totals and subtotals of numbers, as well as graphs, grids, and tables, numerology reveals a comprehensive and accurate personality profile.

It reveals your soul and ego; your inner and external lives; how you see yourself versus how other people see you; your past life and present destiny; how you operate physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually; and much more.

3: Please describe numerology in layman’s terms.

Everything in the Universe is made up of energy that vibrates at different frequencies, and all energy is connected thereby creating unity.  Numbers are used to measuring the connections and frequencies of energy.

Numerology also uses numbers to measure the form and energy of human nature.  Numerology focuses on the relationship between numbers and their influence on our lives.

4: How can I apply numerology to my life?

Numerology can be applied to all areas of your life; personal and professional.  There are of course many ways for you to get to know yourself but numerology is the most accessible, accurate and inspiring way.

Everyone holds the keys to understanding him/herself through two simple pieces of data, namely, birth date and birth name.  Using only these two keys, numerology provides answers to the questions people are always asking – “Who am I?”; “Why am I here?”; “What should I be doing?”; “Where am I going?”; “When will I get there?”; “What’s stopping me?” and “With whom am I sharing my life?”.

5: Is my destiny, as defined by numerology, cast in stone or can I alter it?

Numerologists understand that your personality profile reveals your potential; nothing more and nothing less.  We are all blessed with an abundance of seeds for success and achieving our true potential but unfortunately, not everyone recognizes or believes this.

Thus some of us don’t plant and cultivate these seeds and so we don’t achieve our full potential.  It is therefore vitally important for a numerologist to clarify your potential; and for you to achieve it.

As with all gifts, we have a personal responsibility to unwrap them.  Your destiny lies in your hands, and with the right tools, you can embrace and shape that destiny to reap the most benefits.

6: How can numerology assist me in looking at my self, my life, my future endeavors, i.e. how can numerology benefit me?

Knowing yourself is the greatest gift you can give yourself.  When you are fully aware of your own strengths, talents, and gifts, you are consistently focused, confident and at peace. You are able to set realistic goals for yourself and seize whatever opportunities come your way.

You are physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually at one with yourself.  Numerology will help you get to know yourself.  Just two pieces of data, that is, your birth date and your birth name, will provide you with the keys to reveal your true potential and to unlock your authentic self and life purpose.

7: Please help me to put the science (back) into numerology, to take out the mystical element for the skeptics.

Numerology is not a religion, belief system or dogma.  You don’t have to believe or understand how electricity works every time you turn on a lamp switch in order for it to work.  Similarly, you don’t need to have faith in or knowledge of numerology for it to work.

Numbers are timeless, immutable and incorruptible.  Numerology was developed by a mathematician, and that is why I’m prepared to practice it.  It is accountable, can be replicated and it works for everybody.

Numbers are central to life and inherent in nature. You will find them used in science with its formulae, history with its dates, music with its notes and economics with its currencies.  We all have numbers that identify who we are – our ID numbers, cell phone numbers, bank account numbers, pin numbers, etc define us. This isn’t mystical, it’s tangible.

8: Why then do people insist on referring to numerology as magic?

By using only two pieces of information, namely the person’s birth date, and birth name, a numerologist can compile a comprehensive personality profile on a person and accurately pinpoint personality traits without that person even being in the room.

Therefore it is understandable why this process seems magical.  However, when one understands the system, any magical perceptions are superseded by respect and awe for its accuracy and logic.

9: How does numerology differ from tarot cards?

Numerology uses tangibles such as totals of numbers, grids, tables, graphs and patterns and does not depend on outside forces, intuition or messages.  It is not based on faith or feelings but on facts and figures.

10: The reliance on numbers negates the instruction in the Holy Scriptures to trust in God (Proverbs 3:5 and 6) and there are other similar quotes.

For starters, without numbers, you wouldn’t be able to direct me quickly and easily to this specific passage in the Holy Bible.  Instead, we would have to wade through thousands of pages of text hoping to find it.  However, numbers direct us to pages and passages with ease.

Numerology is designed to be a guide, not a prescription.  It accommodates all methods of thinking, feeling and sensing including a relationship with a Higher Being.  It is based on the measurement of energy and has nothing to do with religions, belief systems or dogmas.

Neither does it interfere with any religion nor any belief system as it is designed primarily for you to increase your insight into yourself and others.

Any qualified and experienced numerologist will encourage you to explore numerous and variable methods and theories for the purpose of gaining insight into yourself; answering questions about yourself, and resolving problems within yourself.  Numerology is but one tool among many.

What is Numerology?

Each day, we are exposed to numbers. We have phone numbers, birthdates, even our financial information is driven by numbers.

What is Numerology?

Numerology is the study of the numbers in our lives and how they affect us. A student of numerology uses the letters in a word, such as a full name, or a birth date and reduces that to a single number.

That number tells them certain things about the person’s character, what strengths and weaknesses they possess; it can even be used to predict their future. Numerology is often closely associated astrology as astrologists assigned the numbers 0 through 9 to each celestial body in the solar system and each number has its own set of values.

Numerology has been around for thousands of years. The Egyptians and Babylonians both used it over 10,000 years ago.

Pythagoras, a mathematician whose theories are still in use today, is believed to have official organized numerology in Greece over 2,500 years ago. He held the view that math concepts were easier to regulate and classify than physical ones.

Others beliefs and writings important in the development of numerology were early Christian mysticism, the Chinese Circle of the Dead, the Kabbalah, and the Indian Vedas.

At the beginning of the 20th century, L. Dow Balliet published the first book about numerology, beginning what is known as the modern phase of numerology and interest in it grew over the next few decades. Recently, a revival of interest in numerology has occurred and many people are learning how numbers might affect them.

Although methods may vary, typically a numerologist reduces a word or number using a procedure called digit summing. If the numerologist is dealing with a number, such as a birth date, they add up all the numbers. If the sum is two or more digits, then those numbers are added until there is a single digit left.

When dealing with a word, such as a name, each letter of the alphabet is assigned a number. For example, A =1, B = 2, C = 3. Then the same steps as above are followed – the numbers are summed until one digit remains.

Some numerologists will not break numbers that total 11, 22, or 33. These are known as master numbers and are considered to have higher vibrations as than the numbers they would create if digitally summed.

Below is a brief definition of each number:

One – Because it is the first number, one is seen as having great power. Usually seen as “male,” one can be happy, loving and dynamic while also being alone and egotistical.

Two – Associated with “female” energy, two often represent partnerships and interacting with others. It can also stand for the polar opposites of things such as black and white or good and evil. This number is best symbolized by the Chinese symbol Yin-Yang.

Three – Three is often related to learning through life experiences. It is often considered lucky and magical. It can mean both wisdom and understanding, yet also be foolish and negative.

Four – The first composite number (the first number to be created by multiplying numbers other than one and itself), four is associated with the four cardinal points (North, South, East, and West), the four Gospels of the Bible, and time (four seasons, roughly four weeks in each month). It is a homonym for the Chinese word for “death,” therefore; some hospitals do not have the fourth floor.

Five – Five is related with the five senses (smell, touch, taste, hearing, and sight) and often represents service to others as well as openness to new experiences, but it can also represent an addictive personality.

Six – The number six relates to beauty and often helps in building relationships. It is believed to hold charm, sensuality, and diplomacy. Six is also considered the mother/father number.

Seven – A spiritual number, seven can be both dreamy and spiritual while also being deceptive and insincere.

Eight – Eight represents hard work and life lessons. Because of that, eight is seen as seeking financial and material success but is also associated with the hardships encountered while seeking both.

Nine – A sacred number, nine is viewed as a humanitarian number and holds mystical significance due to the nine-month gestational period for humans.

Numerology has been around for thousands of years. As with astrology, some see numerology as an occult science with little meaning, while others see it as a viable way to help them understand themselves and the world around them.
